That Le Creuset "Beauty and the Beast" Soup Pot Comes in Yellow Now

Image
After the blue edition of the Beauty and the Beast soup pot sold out almost immediately back in March, Le Creuset and Disney have teamed up to release a second exclusive edition in a sunny shade of yellow. Le Creuset Inspired by Belle's iconic yellow gown, the limited-edition pot comes with the same rose decoration on the lid and gold handle inscribed "Be Our Guest" that the blue edition did. They will also retail for the same price — $$$ — as the first edition. While that may seem like a lot, it's actually a steal considering that the lowest amount the sold-out blue pots are going for on eBay is $$$. While only 500 pots were made in the first edition, Le Creuset made 1,000 yellow ones that will go on sale on September 15 online at lecreuset.com and shopdisney.com and in Le Creuset Signature Stores as well. Three IKEA Lamps Have Been Recalled

Image
Getty IKEA is known for making affordable – and stylish – home decor, but today, they're making the news for a less savory reason.  According to The AP, the Swedish furniture retailer is recalling all three models of its Gothem  lamps – two table lamps and one floor lamp – as they could cause electric shock. Though the lamps appear to function normally, damaged cables in the lamps create a potential safety hazard. The lamps were sold in stores and online between October 2015 and February 2016. IKEA will give a full refund to any customer who returns a lamp to the store.  Take a look at the labels below and head here to see which products are affected by the recall:  From: ELLE Decor US By Devin Alessio

Le Creuset Is Releasing a Limited-Edition "Snow White" Pot

Image
Giphy After releasing two different Beauty and the Beast -inspired Dutch ovens earlier this year, Le Creuset and Disney are teaming up yet again to release a new limited-edition set of pots inspired by the original Disney princess — Snow White — and we couldn't be more excited. Le Creuset The new collection is being released next week to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs , and will include two different sizes of cast iron cocottes in the shape of Snow White's infamous poison apple. But not to worry, there's nothing sinister about these pots, since they also both come with a Snow White tea towel and charm. Le Creuset While the larger pot is a bit of an investment at $$$, the smaller one — which is only $$ — would make a perfect holiday gift for any Disney fan who loves to cook. Since there's only a limited supply of each pot, make sure to keep your eye out for their release next week on November 17 at Saks 5th Avenue and on LeCr...

A Stained Glass Window Made Out of Gummy Bears

Image
Mayice Gummy bears may be a delicious treat, but clearly that's not their true calling: These colorful, "stained-glass" lightboxes by Mayice are made by melting down the sugary snacks into a thin, scented layer bound between thin methacrylate panels (you pick the color and the flavor). The end result? Ethereal, colorful art, with the gummy snacks acting "like a filter, making each box a one of a kind item depending on how much light they receive throughout the day." You can buy this sweet piece of art at Mayice (and watch the amazing making-of video below!). Now Is Your Chance to Own a Kate Middleton-Approved Rug

Image
Courtesy of Anthropologie If your short list of style icons includes Kate Middleton or Michelle Obama, pay attention: Both ladies are big fans of the British rug designer Luke Irwin and feature his pieces in their home. That's quite the ringing endorsement, if you ask us — and apparently Anthropologie agrees since they scored the first-ever American collaboration with the sought-after designer. Meaning we can all live like royalty now (well, kind of).  But why are they so popular? Irwin was trained by one of the world's foremost rug designers in Kathmandu, Nepal, and therefore he's heavily influenced by the country's traditional weaving techniques. As a result, his rugs are both unique and timeless. For this collaboration, Irwin chose Swedish-inspired geometric motifs and Indo-Tibetan abstract prints to showcase in his trademark hand-knotted style. Here are a few of his designs that...
