Donald Trump's $17 Million Caribbean Mansion Is Up for Grabs

Image
LuxuryLifestyleCollection Does $$ million sound like too much to spend on a beachfront mansion on the Caribbean island of St. Martin? Yes? Well, you're not alone. The trust that oversees President Trump's assets listed Le Chateau des Palmiers for $$ million back in April, but recently slashed the price $$ million recently in what appears to be an attempt to shed the property, The Washington Post reports. At the current price of $$.9 million, the beachfront property is on a par with other luxury properties for sale on the island now. LuxuryLifestyleCollection While the Sotheby's listing doesn't mention Trump's name anywhere in the listing, the Instagram account of their St. Martin office hinted at it in their gallery post saying, "it's huuuuuge!" Scroll through our brand new pictures of Chateau Des Palmiers. It's absolutely fabulous. 9 bedrooms. Two pools. Beachfront. Tennis courts. It's huuuuuge! A post shared by St. Martin Sotheby's

Designer Garrow Kedigian buts a bold twist on neutrals in his Montreal townhouse.  Paul Raeside Exterior Designer Garrow Kedigian's handsome Montreal weekend house is a unique L-shaped corner townhouse built in 1923. Staircase An homage to Canada's fur-trading history, Antilocarpa carpet from Stark creates a dramatic stair runner. "It's a great pattern, contemporary but still classic," says Kedigian. Trim painted in glossy Benjamin Moore Black plays up the home's architectural details. Reproductions of artworks by GĂ©ricault are featured throughout. Paul Raeside Living Room In the living room, walls and moldings are painted in a warm beige, Benjamin Moore's Rattan, to create a lustrous, cocooning environment. Simple gold details add to the sense of luxury. The vintage coffee table is by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, and the custom sofa is upholstered in Rogers & Goffigon's Biarritz. Getty If you're still looking for the perfect holiday present for the movie lovers in your life, the Treasures from the Dream Factory auction put on by TCM and Bonhams Auction House is here to help.  The auction, which kicked off November 23 is chock full of impressive bits of Hollywood history, including one particularly impressive relic — one of the iconic blue and white gingham dresses Judy Garland wore while filming the classic film The Wizard of Oz . Joan Rivers's Prized Possessions Are Heading to Auction

Image
Getty Images It's no secret that Joan Rivers had a taste for the finer things in life. The late comedienne and philanthropist was a knowledgable connoisseur and avid collector, her eclectic taste spanning from furs to French antiques and FabergĂ©. In a celebration of this legacy, Christies has announced an auction of Rivers' personal treasures. Over 200 pieces from her Manhattan apartment will go up for sale this June, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting both God's Love We Deliver , which provides meals to people in need in the New York area, and Guide Dogs For The Blind.  Harry Langdon Among the personal objects and decorative arts headed to the auction block are Bob Mackie gowns from her Vegas headliner years, couture jewelry from Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Harry Winston, as well as a 1915 painting by Edouard Vuillard. The Only 8 Bar Accessories You Really Need

Image
Getty Considering exactly how to stock your bar can really open up a can of worms. Do you buy separate glasses for red wine, white wine, and champagne? Do you really need those (super cute) Moscow mule mugs? Which cocktail utensils are essential? And what the heck to do they all do? We turned to LaurĂ©n LaRocca, one half of the party planning, lifestyle blogging duo Twink + Sis, to find out which accessories you really need. Here's what she recommends: 1. A Cocktail Shaker "Freshly crafted cocktails are truly unparalleled and they really do have a special quality when shaken. It's actually remarkable! Even if you shook up some lemon juice, vodka and simple syrup in a shaker, you'd have a better cocktail than what's served in most bars. Though some shakers are works of art, even the most basic of shakers work great and are relatively inexpensive." 2. A Double Sided Jigger "The key to efficiently making cocktails (that are also consistent in taste) req

Christie's Real Estate In 1930, Haroldson Lafayette Hunt took a gamble. For $$$$5 million, he purchased the East Texas Oil Field and, nearly overnight, became one of the wealthiest men on the planet. And with his newfound fortune, Hunt bought a 9-bedroom, 5-bath mansion, which is recently hit the market again for $$ million. With a bowling alley, gym, and 10,000-bottle wine cellar, the manse doesn't skimp on the extravagance. The main building alone clocks in at 10,511-square-feet, and features elaborate carvings of a bygone era. The rest of the grounds, however, are a bit more modern. The carriage house — which itself has 4 beds and 5 baths — has a full-blown media room. And the pool house, which is larger than most apartments, has a game center. There are also several putting greens on the property and lighted tennis courts. The house was modeled after George Washington's famed Mount Vernon estate — only, the Hunt family home, like everything else in Texas, is much,

9 Things Professional Organizers Do Every Day

Image
Simon Watson We're not sure if organizing pros are born or made, but good news: Tova Weinstock (aka "Tidy Tova") bets on the latter. The professional organizer says that anyone can make a few tiny changes to their everyday routine to get (and keep) their house in order. "It's important to take baby steps when getting organized, otherwise the process can feel daunting and overwhelming," Weinstock explains. Steal these daily habits of organizing pros to get started:  1. They make their beds. "Arguably the most important activity of the day, there's really no excusing this one. Bed making promotes productivity throughout the day and will pave the way for an organized lifestyle. Plus, it's a pleasure to get into a made bed at the end of a long day." 2. They write out a to-do list. "Take a few minutes in the morning to jot down your goals for the day. Having a concrete list will keep you on track throughout the day and give you a sens
